Deuteronomy 2 - Wandering in the Desert
- God reminds His people that he has been with them for forty years. Moses leads the people to Mount Seir, but they can't take that land as it belongs to Esau. God asks the people to buy food and water from Seir.
- God is leading the Israelites around Moab and over the brook Zered. They crossed over Ar, but they could not take possession of that land either.
- God commands Moses to bring the people through the valley of Arnon to Heshbon, where Sihon (the Amorite) is King. God said to begin to take possession and contend with the King in battle.
- The Israelites obeyed God's commands and defeated Sihon, his people, and took over all the surrounding cities.
